STONE SOUR Perform In Kansas City: Photos Available
May 19, 2006STONE SOUR — the band featuring SLIPKNOT singer Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root — played a special free concert on Thursday, May 18 outside the Beaumont Club in Kansas City, Missouri. Check out pictures from Wire Image. STONE SOUR will also play a free show at the House of Bricks in Des Moines, Iowa on Sunday, May 21. While admission is free, donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation will gladly be accepted. At this time, the show is slated to begin at 7 p.m. It will be first come, first served.
STONE SOUR recently announced the addition of drummer Roy Mayorga (ex-SOULFLY, most recently a touring member of SEPULTURA) as a full-fledged member of the group.
STONE SOUR's sophomore CD, "Come What(ever) May", will be released by Roadrunner Records on August 22. Click here to watch a clip of the band working in the studio, with a rough cut of new track "Reborn" used as the soundtrack.
STONE SOUR recently shot a video for the song "30/30-150" in Los Angeles with director Paul Brown (MÖTLEY CRÜE, OTEP). A second clip — for the track "Through Glass" — is expected to be lensed during the coming weeks. A full-length MP3 of "30/30-150" will be made available for download on the Roadrunner web site when the clock strikes zero (around 11:59 p.m. Monday night / 12:00 a.m. Tuesday) on May 22.
"Come What(ever) May" was recorded at a Los Angeles studio with producer Nick Rasculinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, VELVET REVOLVER) and marks the group's first effort since the departure of drummer Joel Ekman.
STONE SOUR's new album will follow up the group's 2002 self-titled debut, which went gold and featured the hit single, "Bother".
